국제처 글로벌서비스센터(GSC)는 2026학년도 2학기 외국인 학부 장학생을 다음과 같이 선발합니다. 관심 있는 학생들의 많은 지원 바랍니다.

1. 신청기간: 2026년 7월 8일(수) 10:00 – 7월 17일(금) 17:00

   ※신청 및 서류 제출은 정해진 기간 내에만 가능합니다. 기간을 미리 확인하셔서 여유 있게 신청해 주시기 바랍니다.

3. 자격조건

가. 국제교육팀 입시를 통해 외국인 특별전형으로 입학한 서울캠퍼스 외국인 학부생

     ※ 재학 중 한국국적을 취득하고 학적을 변경한 학생 또는 입학구분상 복수학위제 학생 제외

나. 2026-1학기 재학생

     ※ 2026-2학기 휴학 예정자 및 2026년 8월졸업예정자 제외

다. 2026-1학기취득학점 12학점 이상

     ※High Achievers 및 Challenge A 장학금은 평가학기 2개 모두 취득학점 12학점 이상

라. 2026-1학기 국내대학 학점교류생은 학점인정을 완료한 후 2026년 7월까지 관련사항을 GSC 담당자(gkdnsml4321@korea.ac.kr)에게 제출해야 

     장학심사 과정에서 학점인정 내용이 반영됩니다.

마. 2026-2학기 신입생은다음학기부터 지원 가능합니다. 

바. 세부사항은 장학금 규정 및 내규에 따릅니다.

가. 선발결과는 2026년 8월 중순 확인하실 수 있습니다.

나. 장학금은 2026-2학기 등록금고지서 사전감면 금액으로 반영되므로 학생계좌로 직접 송금되지 않습니다.

가. Excellence A

- 대      상: 2026-1학기 성적 최우수생

- 장학금액: 다음학기(2026-2학기) 수업료 전액(100%)

- 신청방법: 성적에 따른 자동선발로 개별신청 불필요

- 제출서류: 없음 

나. Excellence B

- 대       상: 2026-1학기 성적 우수생

- 장학금액: 다음학기(2026-2학기) 수업료 일부(65%)

- 신청방법: 성적에 따른 자동선발로 개별신청 불필요

- 제출서류: 없음

다. High Achievers

- 대     상: 직전 2개 학기(2025-2학기 및 2026-1학기) 연속 성적 우수자

    ✅각 학기별 취득학점 12학점 이상    

    ✅2025-2학기 휴학생 또는 해외 교환학생은 그 이전 본교성적 반영

- 장학금액: 다음학기(2026-2학기) 수업료 일부(50%)

- 신청방법: 성적에 따른 자동선발로 개별신청 불필요

- 제출서류: 없음

라. Challenge A (★개별신청 필요)

- 대     상: 직전 2개 학기(2025-2학기 및 2026-1학기) 성적 향상자

    ✅2026-1학기 평점평균 3.0 이상 (F학점 포함 전체평점)

    ✅각 학기별 취득학점 12학점 이상

    ✅2025-2학기 휴학생 또는 해외 교환학생은 그 이전 본교성적 반영

- 장학금액: 다음학기(2026-2학기) 수업료 일부(30%)

마. Bright Futures A (★개별신청 필요)

- 대     상: 경제적 도움이 필요한 학생

    ✅2026-1학기 평점평균 2.75 이상 (F학점 포함 전체평점)    

    ✅Bright Futures A 장학금을 이미 수혜한 횟수가 수업연한의 절반에 달하는 경우 추가 수혜가 불가합니다.

- 장학금액: 다음학기(2026-2학기) 수업료 일부(50%)

    ※ 첨부된 ‘2026학년도 2학기 외국인 학부 장학금 신청매뉴얼’ 참고

- 제출서류

    ✅반드시 KUPID 신청 시 서류를 업로드해야 하며, 이외 이메일 등을 통해서는 접수되지 않습니다.

    ✅제출 지침(파일 양식/형식) 미준수 및 필수서류 미제출로 인한 불이익은 학생 본인에게 있으니 각별히 주의하시기 바랍니다.

 1) 사유서* 필수제출/ 지정양식 (★ 첨부양식)

     - 신청사유 및 재정상황 등 상세하고 구체적이게 서술 

 2) 지도교수 추천서* 필수제출/ 자유양식

     - 2026-1학기(2026년 3월~7월) 작성된 지도교수추천서만 인정

     - 교수님 소속/성명/서명/작성일자 및 재정/면학상황 관련 구체적 추천사유 기재

       (1) 불가피한 경우 지도교수 추천서는 본인 소속 학과장 추천서로 대체 가능

      (2) 지도교수 추천서 또는 학과장 추천서 이외 추천서 미인정

 3) 재정상황 증빙서류 (영문 or 국문) * 필수제출/ 자유양식

     - 이번학기부터 본인의 상황을 입증하는 재정상황 증빙서류를 필수적으로 제출해야 합니다.

     - (예시) 기초생활수급, 실업/구직급여, 은행 대출, Food Stamp 등 경제적 곤란을증명할 수 있는 서류

       ※ 단, 증빙서류가 본인 명의가 아닌 가족 명의일 경우 관계 확인을 위해 가족관계증명서를 함께 제출해야 함. 

     - 문서의 공증이나 아포스티유는 요구되지 않으나, 추후 검증과정에서 허위서류 제출이 확인될 경우 장학내역이 취소될 수 있습니다.

[GSC] Fall 2026 Scholarships for Undergraduate Degree-seeking International Students

Global Services Center (GSC) at Office of International Affairs (OIA) is pleased to announce the scholarship application schedule and details for the Fall 2026 semester. We encourage all eligible international students to apply.

1. Application Period: 8 July 2026 (Wed) 10:00 - 17 July 2026 (Fri) 17:00

  ※ Applications and document submissions are only accepted within the designated period. Please prepare and apply 

      in advance.

2. Scholarship Types

A. Excellence A & B (Automatic selection based on GPA / No individual application required)

B. High Achievers (Automatic selection based on GPA / No individual application required)

C. Challenge A (★ Individual application required)

D. Bright Futures A (★ Individual application required)

3. Eligibility Criteria

A. International undergraduate students on the Seoul Campus who admitted through the 'International Undergraduate Admission 

    (외국인 특별전형)' via International Education Team. 

    ※ Students who have acquired Korean citizenship during their enrollment or dual-degree by admission type (입학구분상 복수학위제) 

       are excluded.

B. Students who remained registered in the Spring 2026 semester. 

    ※ Students planning to take a leave of absence for the Fall 2026 semester or graduating in August 2026 are not eligible. 

C. Minimum of 12 achieved credits in the Spring 2026 semester.

    ※ For High Achievers and Challenge A scholarships, a minimum of 12 credits must be achieved in both evaluated semesters.

D. Students who participated in a domestic exchange program (국내대학 학점교류생) during the Spring 2026 semester will be 

     eligible only if their credits are officially recognized in the KU system and they submit the relevant information to GSC 

     email (gkdnsml4321@korea.ac.kr) by July 2026.

E. Freshmen entering in Fall 2026 will be eligible to apply starting next semester.

F. Detailed matters are subject to university scholarship regulations and internal bylaws.

4. Important Notes

A. Announcement of Results: Mid-August 2026

B. The scholarship will be applied as a pre-deduction (tuition waiver) on the Fall 2026 tuition bill, and not be transferred directly to the student’s bank account.

5. Scholarship Details

Ⅰ. Excellence A

- Target: Top-performing students based on Spring 2026 GPA.

- Benefit: Full tuition waiver (100%) for the upcoming semester (Fall 2026).

- How to Apply: Automatic selection based on academic performance; no individual application required.

- Required Documents: None

Ⅱ. Excellence B

- Target: High-performing students based on Spring 2026 GPA.

- Benefit: Partial tuition waiver (65%) for the upcoming semester (Fall 2026).

- How to Apply: Automatic selection based on academic performance; no individual application required.

- Required Documents: None

Ⅲ. High Achievers

- Target: Students with consecutive academic excellence over the past two semesters (Fall 2025 and Spring 2026).

    ✅ Minimum of 12 achieved credits in each semester.

    ✅ For students who were on a leave of absence or an overseas student exchange program (해외 교환학생) during the Fall 

          2025 semester, their most recent academic records at Korea University prior to the Fall 2025 semester will be evaluated.

- Benefit: Partial tuition waiver (50%) for the upcoming semester (Fall 2026).

- How to Apply: Automatic selection based on academic performance; no individual application required.

- Required Documents: None

Ⅳ. Challenge A (★ Individual Application Required)

- Target: Students who showed academic improvement over the past two semesters (Fall 2025 and Spring 2026).

    ✅ Spring 2026 GPA must be 3.0 or higher (Total GPA including F grades).

    ✅ Minimum of 12 achieved credits in each semester.

    ✅ For students who were on a leave of absence or an overseas student exchange program (해외 교환학생) during the Fall 

          2025 semester, their most recent academic records at Korea University prior to the Fall 2025 semester will be evaluated.

- Benefit: Partial tuition waiver (30%) for the upcoming semester (Fall 2026).

Ⅴ. Bright Futures A (★ Individual Application Required)

- Target: Students in need of financial assistance

    ✅ Spring 2026 GPA must be 2.75 or higher (Total GPA including F grades).

    ✅ Students who have already received Bright Futures A scholarship for a number of times equal to half of their duration of 

          coursework (수업연한) are not eligible to receive it again.

- Benefit: Partial tuition waiver (50%) for the upcoming semester (Fall 2026).

- Required Documents 

    ✅ All documents must be uploaded through KUPID during the application process. Email submissions or other methods will 

          not be accepted.

    ✅ Failure to follow the submission guidelines (file formats/naming) or missing essential documents may result in a disadvantage, 

          for which the student will be solely responsible.

 1) Statement of Reason * Mandatory/ Designated Form (★ Attached format)

  (1) Must include the reason for application and goals for the next semester (study plan, etc.) as well as financial situations in details. 

 2) Academic Advisor’s Recommendation Letter * Mandatory/ Free Form

  (1) Only letters written by your academic advisor between March and July 2026 (Spring 2026 semester) will be accepted.

  (2) The letter must state the professor's department, name, signature, date of writing, and detailed reasons for 

         recommendation regarding your financial and academic situation.

    - If unavoidable, it can be replaced by a recommendation letter from the head of your department (학과장). 

    - NO recommendation letters other than those from your academic advisor or department head will be accepted.

 3) Supporting Documents (English or Korean) * Mandatory/ Free Form 

  (1) Starting this semester, you must submit documents proving your financial difficulties.

  (2) Documents proving financial hardship include basic livelihood security certification, unemployment benefits/job seeker 

        allowances, bank loan certificates, food stamps, etc.

    - If the proof is under a family member's name instead of your own, a Family Relationship Certificate must be submitted together 

       to verify the relationship.

  (3) Notarization or Apostille is not required, but if forged or fraudulent documents are discovered during the verification process, 

        the scholarship will be cancelled.
