2026 Fall K-Royal Culture Festival Goong-ee Doong-ee Now Recruiting
1. 2026 Fall K-Royal Culture Festival
○ Period : Oct 7 (Wed) – Oct 11 (Sun), 2026 / for 5 days
○ Locations : Four Royal Palaces (Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Deoksugung, and Changgyeonggung) and Jongmyo Shrine
○ Host and Organizer: The Royal Palaces and Tombs Center of the Cultural Heritage Administration, and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation.
2. Eligibility
○ Korean citizen born before 2007 or and foreigners that can communicate in Korean.
* Must be responsible for their own accommodation during the period
○ Must participate in major events, such as the opening ceremony, and must be able to actively participate during the festival period
○ Have foreign language communication skills (at least one of English, Chinese, and Japanese) *preferred
3. Recruitment Schedule and Details
○ Number of Recruitment : About 50 people (including 10 non-Koreans quota)
○ Activity Details
* Provide support for the festival programs' on-site operations.
(e.g., guiding visitor routes and seating, handing out leaflets)
* Take photo and video contents to promote the K-Royal Culture Festival
* Plan and lead creative programs
- Royal Court Games Playroom : A team-based activity program organized by Goong-ee Doong-ee,
featuring activities such as Beat the Goong-ee Doong-ee! and Royal Palace Quiz

4. How to Apply

○ Video Interview (Round 2) - Online video evaluation
* Applicants that have passed Round 1 will be contacted individually for further directions
5. Volunteer’s benefits
○ Approved volunteer hours (hours depended on each person’s on-site participation
*Must join 1365 Volunteer Portal (https://www.1365.go.kr)
○ Volunteer certification issued (must meet certification requirement; certification issued by President of Korea Heritage Agency)
○ Activity supply kits for K-Royal Culture Festival volunteers
○ Free admission to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, Deoksugung Palace, Changgyeonggung Palace, and Jongmyo Shrine during the festival period (admission is non-transferable)
○ Limited transportation expenses and meals provided during on-site (offline) activity period
○ Eligible to be selected and awarded Excellent Volunteer
○ Official volunteer documents can be issued for college students participating during the week
