글로벌서비스센터에서 2024학년도 2학기 외국인 학부 장학생을 선발합니다. 장학금 세부 안내는 아래와 같으며 학생들의 많은 지원 바랍니다.

3. 공통신청자격:
가. 외국인 전형으로 입학한 외국인 학부생 (2024학년도 2학기 신입생 제외 / 다음 학기부터 지원 가능)
※ 외국인특별전형 입학자가 재학 중 한국 국적을 취득하고 학적 변경을 한 경우 외국인 장학 수혜대상에서 제외될 수 있음
나. 2024학년도 1학기에 재학한 외국인 학부생 (2024학년도 2학기 휴학 예정자 및 2024년 8월 졸업예정자 제외)
다. 2024학년도 1학기 취득학점 12학점 이상
※ High Achievers 장학금과 Challenge (A) 장학금은 직전 두 학기 모두 12학점 이상

* 장학금은 2024학년도 2학기 등록금 고지서에 수업료 사전 감면 금액으로 반영. (본인 계좌에 장학금 입금되지 않음)
* 포털(KUPID) 장학금 신청 및 서류 제출은 반드시 신청 기간 내에 완료되어야 하며, 신청 기간이 종료된 후에는 어떠한 경우도 추가접수 불가
5. 장학금별 세부 안내
(1) Excellence 장학금 (A)
- 대상: 2024학년도 1학기 성적 최우수 외국인 학부 재학생
- 장학금액: 다음 학기 (2024학년도 2학기) 수업료 전액 (100%)
- 신청방법: 별도 신청 필요 없음, 성적 우수자 자동 선발
- 제출서류: 없음
(2) Excellence 장학금 (B)
- 대상: 2024학년도 1학기 성적 우수 외국인 학부 재학생
- 장학금액: 다음 학기 (2024학년도 2학기) 수업료 일부 (65%)
- 신청방법: 별도 신청 필요 없음, 성적 우수자 자동 선발
- 제출서류: 없음
(3) High Achievers 장학금
- 대상: 직전 두 학기 (2023년 2학기 & 2024년 1학기) 연속 성적우수 외국인 학부 재학생
▷ 직전 두 학기 모두 12학점 이상 취득해야 하며, 2023학년도 2학기 휴학생은 휴학 직전학기 성적 적용
- 장학금액: 다음 학기 (2024학년도 2학기) 수업료 일부 (50%)
- 신청방법: 별도 신청 필요 없음, 성적 우수자 자동 선발
- 제출서류: 없음
(4) Challenge 장학금 (A)
- 대상: 직전 두 학기 성적 (2023년 2학기 대비 2024년 1학기 성적)이 큰 폭으로 향상된 외국인 학부 재학생
▷ 비교대상 두 학기 모두 12학점 이상 취득자 중에서 2024학년도 1학기 평점평균(전체) 3.0 (F포함 성적) 이상인 자만 지원 가능
▷ 2023학년도 2학기 휴학생은 휴학 직전학기 성적 적용
- 장학금액: 다음 학기 (2024학년도 2학기) 수업료 일부 (30%)
- ★개별신청 방법: KUPID(http://portal.korea.ac.kr) → 로그인 → 등록/장학 → 장학금 신청
- 제출서류: 없음
(5) 미래희망 장학금 (A)
- 대상: 경제적인 도움이 필요한 외국인 학부 재학생 (수업연한의 1/2을 초과해서 지급하지 않음)
▷ 2024학년도 1학기 12학점 이상 취득자이며, 평점평균(전체) 2.75 (F포함 성적) 이상인 자만 지원 가능
- 장학금액: 다음 학기 (2024학년도 2학기) 수업료의 50% (반액)
- ★개별신청 방법 : KUPID(http://portal.korea.ac.kr) → 로그인 → 등록/장학 → 장학금 신청
- 제출서류: (필수 서류 ①, ② 모두 제출해야 신청 완료)
① (*필수) 장학금 신청사유서 1부, 면학장학금 신청자 재정상황 평가표 1부
- 포털(KUPID) 온라인 지원 시 첨부파일로 제출
1) 본인의 상황에 대해 최대한 명확하고 간결하게 작성 (한국어 120단어 내외 또는 영문 150단어 내외로 작성)
2) (양식 첨부파일 참조) 파일명 -> 학생학번, 이름_신청사유서.doc/학생학번, 이름_재정상황평가표.xlsx
3) 반드시 첨부된 양식에 작성해야 하며, 이외 다른 양식을 사용한 경우 접수되지 않음
② (*필수) 교수 추천서 1부
- 자유양식, 포털(KUPID) 온라인 지원 시 첨부파일로 제출
1) 교수님의 소속, 성명, 날짜, 서명과 함께 가정 형편과 재정 상황에 대한 구체적인 언급이 있을 경우에만 인정
2) 2024학년도 1학기(3월 이후, 여름방학 포함)에 작성된 추천서로 교수(강사 불가)가 작성한 추천서만 인정
※ 고려대학교 소속 전임교수가 작성한 추천서만 인정
3) 파일명 -> 학생학번, 이름_교수추천서.pdf
③ (선택) 각종 재정 상황 증명 서류 - 이메일 또는 방문제출
1) 모든 재정상황 증빙서류는 가족관계증명서와 함께 제출 필수
2) 모든 서류*는 한글 또는 영문본만 인정
* 기초생활수급 증빙 서류, 실업/구직급여 수급 증빙 서류, 소득세 납입 증명서, 월급 증명, 은행 대출 서류, 직전학기 송금액을 확인할 수 있는
통장 사본, Food Stamp 등 식료품 지원 확인 서류 등
※ 모든 서류는 본인 혹은 직계가족의 서류 제출

[GSC] Fall 2024 Scholarships for Undergraduate Degree-seeking Int'l Students
Global Service Center is receiving for the undergraduate international students scholarship application for Fall 2024.
The detailed information about GSC scholarships are as follows:
1. Application Period: July 10 (Wed) 10:00 - July 17 (Wed) 17:00
2. Available Scholarships
A. Excellence Scholarship A/B
- No application required. Grade-based automatic nomination and selection. Differential payment between A/B, based on grades.
B. High Achievers Scholarship
- No application required. Automatic nomination and selection.
C. Challenge Scholarship (A)
- ★Individual Application
D. Bright Futures Scholarship (A)
- ★Individual Application
3. Basic Eligibility:
- International students who got into KU with international students qualifications administered by the International Education Team.
※ Students who acquire Korean nationality while attending school and reflect it in the academic register may be excluded from the
scholarship beneficiaries.
- Newly admitted students for the Fall 2024 semester cannot apply this time. Please apply from the next semester.
- Undergraduate international students who have attended the Spring 2024 semester and will enroll for the Fall 2024 semester.
Therefore, those who plan to take the upcoming semester off or graduate in August 2024 cannot apply.
- Those who have achieved a minimum of 12 credits or more in Spring 2024.
- Those who wish to apply for High Achievers Scholarship and Challenge Scholarship (A) must have achieved at least 12 credits
in the last two consecutive semesters.

- Scholarship recipients will be notified by mid-August via email. Date of announcement is subject to change without notice.
- Scholarship benefits would be directly reflected on your tuition invoice for Fall 2024 as deductions. It will not be deposited into your bank account.
- Global Services Center does not accept any late applications or additional documents submitted after the deadline,
including those caused by technical errors occurred on a personal computer.
5. Detailed Information
A. Excellence Scholarship (A)
- Eligibility: Undergraduate int’l students who achieved an outstanding GPA in the Spring 2024 semester.
- Benefit: 100% of tuition for Fall 2024
- How to apply: No application required. Grade-based automatic nomination and selection.
- No additional documents required.
B. Excellence Scholarship (B)
- Eligibility: Undergraduate int’l students who achieved an outstanding GPA in the Spring 2024 semester.
- Benefit: 65% of tuition for Fall 2024
- How to apply: No Application required. Grade-based automatic nomination and selection.
- No additional documents required.
C. High Achievers Scholarship
- Eligibility: Undergraduate int’l students who achieved outstanding GPAs in the last two consecutive semesters.
▷ Must have obtained a minimum of 12 credits in both semesters.
▷ For students who took a leave of absence during Fall 2023, GPA of the most recent semester the student took before the leave of absence
will be taken into account.
- Benefit: 50% of tuition for Fall 2024
- How to apply: No Application required. Grade-based automatic nomination and selection.
- No additional documents required.
D. Challenge Scholarship (A)
- Eligibility: Undergraduate int’l students who achieved a improved GPA in the Spring 2024 compared to the Fall 2023 semester.
▷ Must have obtained a minimum of 12 credits in both semesters AND achieved a minimum GPA of 3.0 (including F) in the Spring 2024 semester.
▷ For students who took a leave of absence during Fall 2023, GPA of the most recent semester the student took before the leave of absence
will be taken into account.
- Benefit: 30% of tuition for Fall 2024

- Application required. No additional documents required.
E. Bright Futures Scholarship (A)
- Eligibility: Undergraduate int’l students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds who need financial support to pay tuition.
※ Not to exceed 1/2 of regularly required number of semester
▷ Must have obtained a minimum of 12 credits AND achieved a minimum GPA of 2.75 (including F) in the Spring 2024 semester.
- Benefit: 50% of tuition for Fall 2024
- ★How to Apply: KUPID (http://portal.korea.ac.kr) → Log In → Scholarship Application → Apply
- Additional documents ① and ② MUST be submitted (*Required)
① (*Required) 'Explanatory Statement' and 'Personal Financial Statement' uploaded as an attachment to your online application on the KUPID (portal)
: Write about your current financial situation and plan for the Fall 2024 semester. (Approximately 150 words in English or 120 words in Korean)

: Be sure to use the forms attached. Any and all submission using the wrong forms will not be accepted.

※ Only letters of recommendation written by full-time professors (전임교수) affiliated with Korea University are accepted.
: The professor's department, name, signature and the date on which the letter was signed must be all included.
: The letter must address the financial hardships you have been going through in detail.
: Only those letters that are written and signed in Spring 2024 semester (March 2024~)
including summer vacation and fulfill the above requirements will be accepted.
