Please find the period of application for leave of absence/return and its procedures below. 1. Visa Extension as a Completed Research Student Those who want to extend their period of sojourn for Spring semester 2026 as a completed research student will need certificate of completion(immigration office does not allow certificate of expected completion) ※ Certificate of completion can be issued once academic status is changed to completed student at the end of Jan, 2026. ※ Please note that the maximum period of stay permitted for D-2 (Student) visa holders by the Immigration Office differs from the maximum period of length of studentship allowed by Korea University. Completed research student must enroll each semester and can extend their visa for 6months. For extension of visa, documents including bank statement must be ready.
