가. 외국인 특별전형을 통해 입학한 서울캠퍼스 외국인 학부생

     ※ 2026-1학기 휴학 예정자 및 2026년 2월 졸업예정자 제외

다. 2025-2학기 취득학점 12학점 이상

     ※ High Achievers 및 Challenge (A) 장학금은 직전 2개 학기 모두 취득학점 12학점 이상

라. 2025-2학기 국내대학에서 학점교류를 한 학생은 해당 학점이 본교 학점으로 인정 완료된 후

     2026년 1월까지 관련 정보를 이메일(gkdnsml4321@korea.ac.kr)로 제출한 경우에만 수혜대상으로 고려됩니다.

마. 2026-1학기 신입생은 다음학기부터 지원 가능합니다. 

바. 세부사항은 장학금 규정 및 내규에 따릅니다.

가. 선발결과는 선발자에 한해 2026년 2월 중순 개별 이메일 안내됩니다.

다. High Achievers

- 대       상: 직전 2개 학기(2025-1학기 & 2025-2학기) 연속 성적 우수생

    ✅ 직전 2개 학기 모두 취득학점 12학점 이상

    ✅ 2025-1학기 휴학생 또는 해외 교환학생의 경우, 그 이전 본교 최종학기 성적 적용

- 장학금액: 다음학기(2026-1학기) 수업료 일부(50%)

- 신청방법: 성적에 따른 자동선발로 개별신청 불필요

라. Challenge (A) ★ 개별신청 필요

- 대       상: 직전 2개 학기(2025-1학기 대비 2025-2학기 성적) 성적이 큰 폭으로 향상된 학생

    ✅ 직전 2개 학기 모두 취득학점 12학점 이상

    ✅ 2025-1학기 휴학생 또는 교환학생의 경우, 그 이전 본교 최종학기 성적 적용

마. 미래희망 (A) ★ 개별신청 필요

- 대       상: 경제적 도움이 필요한 학생

    ✅ 2025-2학기 평점평균(전체) 2.75 (F 포함) 이상

    ✅ 미래희망 (A) 장학금 수혜학기가 수업연한의 절반 미만인 학생

      - 장학금액: 다음학기(2026-1학기) 수업료 일부(50%) 

      - (신청방법) KUPID → 등록/장학 → 장학금 신청

(1) 단, 불가피한 경우 지도교수 추천서는 본인 소속 학과장 추천서로 대체 가능합니다. 

(2) 지도교수 추천서 또는 학과장 추천서 이외 추천서는 불인정되니 반드시 유의하시기 바랍니다.

[GSC] Spring 2026 Scholarships for Undergraduate Degree-seeking International Students 

Global Services Center (GSC) at Office of International Affairs (OIA) is receiving Spring 2026 scholarship application for undergraduate degree-seeking international students. We look forward to your interest and participation. 

1. Application Period: 7 Jan 2026 (Wed) 10:00 - 14 Jan 2026 (Wed) 17:00

  ※ Please note that the application and document submission can only be completed during 

      the designated application period. We ask you to check the deadline carefully and prepare in advance.

2. Scholarship Types

A. Excellence (A/B) (Grade-based automatic selection / individual application not required)

B. High Achievers (Grade-based automatic selection / individual application not required)

C. Challenge (A) ★ individual application required

D. Bright Futures (A) ★ individual application required

3. Eligibility

A. Seoul Campus international students admitted through 'International Undergraduate Admission (외국인 특별전형)' 

    ※ Students who acquire Korean nationality and change their student status are ineligible. 

B. Students who have attended the Fall 2025 semester 

    ※ Students on leave of absence for the Spring 2026 semester or graduating in February 2026 

        are not eligible.

C. Students who have achieved at least 12 credits in the Fall 2025 semester

    ※ For High Achievers and Challenge (A) scholarships, students must have achieved at least 12 credits 

        in each of the two most recent consecutive semesters.

D. Students who took a domestic exchange program during the Fall 2025 semester will be

    considered eligible only if their credits for that semester have been officially recognized at KU system

    and they submit the relevant information via email (gkdnsml4321@korea.ac.kr) by January 2026.

E. New students in the 2026 Spring semester will be eligible from the following semesters. 

F. Details are subject to the scholarship regulations and internal guidelines. 

4. Additional Notes

A. Scholarship results will be individually notified via email to selected students in mid-February 2026.

B. Scholarship benefits will be directly reflected on the tuition invoice for the Spring 2026 semester, 

    and not be deposited into personal bank accounts.

- For Whom: Top academic performers of the Fall 2025 semester

- Scholarship Amount: Full (100%) tuition for the Spring 2026 semester 

- How to Apply: Automatically selected based on academic performance; no individual application required.

Ⅱ. Excellence (B)

- For Whom: Outstanding academic performers of the Fall 2025 semester

- Scholarship Amount: Partial (65%) tuition for the Spring 2026 semester 

- How to Apply: Automatically selected based on academic performance; no individual application required.

- Required Documents: None

Ⅲ. High Achievers

- For Whom: Students who maintained outstanding academic performance for the two most recent consecutive semesters (Spring 2025 and Fall 2025)

    ✅ Must have obtained a minimum of 12 credits in both semesters

    ✅ For students who were on a leave of absence or an overseas student exchange program (교환학생) during the Spring 2025 semester, their most recent KU GPA prior to that semester will be applied. 

- Scholarship Amount: Partial (50%) tuition for the Spring 2026 semester

- How to Apply: Automatically selected based on academic performance; no individual application required.

- Required Documents: None

Ⅳ. Challenge (A) ★ Individual Application Required

- For Whom: Students whose academic performance has shown a significant improvement over the two most recent consecutive semesters (Fall 2025 compared to Spring 2025)

    ✅ A minimum GPA of 3.0 (including F grades) for the Fall 2025 semester

    ✅ Must have obtained a minimum of 12 credits in both semesters  

    ✅ For students who were on a leave of absence or an overseas student exchange program (교환학생) during the Spring 2025 semester, their most recent KU GPA prior to that semester will be applied. 

- Scholarship Amount: Partial (30%) tuition for the Spring 2026 semester

Ⅴ. Bright Futures (A) ★ Individual Application Required

- For Whom: Students in need of financial assistance

    ✅ A minimum GPA of 2.75 (including F grades) for the Fall 2025 semester

    ✅ Students who have already received Bright Futures (A) scholarship for the half of their course completion period (수업연한) will not be eligible. 

- Scholarship Amount: Partial (50%) tuition for the Spring 2026 semester

     (1) Only recommendation letters written by your academic advisor (지도교수) in the Fall 2025 semester (September 2025 – January 2026) will be accepted.

      (2) Must include the professor’s affiliation, name, signature, date of issue, and reasons for recommendation regarding the student’s financial situation and academic commitment.

         - However, if unavoidable, a recommendation letter from your department chair (학과장) may be submitted instead.

         - Please note that applications will not be accepted unless the recommendation letter is from your academic advisor (지도교수) or your department chair (학과장).
